- Own Your impact

July. Clarity. You.

July 1, 2026

LISA PEPPER-SATKIN

July is here, and the theme I keep hearing in my own life, my work, and in so many conversations is Own Your Clarity.

Not the kind of clarity that arrives with fireworks and a full plan. I mean the quieter kind. The kind that asks, “What do I already know?” The kind that shows up when we stop asking everyone else what they think before we listen to ourselves.

I think so many of us wait to feel certain before we move. We want the perfect answer, the clean next step, the sign from the sky. But most of the time, clarity does not come from waiting. It comes from telling the truth in smaller, braver ways.

What is working?

What is no longer working?

What am I pretending not to know?

Where am I over-explaining because I am afraid to be clear?

That last one gets me every time.

Clarity can feel risky because it often asks something of us. It may ask us to stop performing. It may ask us to name what we need. It may ask us to disappoint someone. It may ask us to let go of a version of life, leadership, or relationship that once fit but no longer does.

And yet, clarity is also kind. It gives us our energy back. It helps us stop spinning. It lets us move from alignment instead of resentment.

So this month, I am practicing this question:

What is the clearest, kindest truth I can tell myself right now?

Not the harshest truth. Not the most dramatic truth. The clearest and kindest one.

Maybe for you, clarity is about your work. Maybe it is about your calendar. Maybe it is about a relationship, a pattern, a dream, a boundary, or a next chapter that keeps tapping you on the shoulder.

You do not have to figure it all out today. But you can begin by listening to the part of you that already knows something.

That counts.

That is clarity too.

With love,
Lisa
