Closing Own Your Clarity and Welcoming Own Your Expression

July 31, 2026

LISA PEPPER-SATKIN

As July comes to a close, I have been thinking about what it really means to own your clarity.

Clarity is not having every answer. It is not knowing exactly how everything will turn out. Clarity is the moment you stop looking outside yourself for permission and begin listening to what you already know.

Sometimes that knowing feels strong and certain. Other times it begins as a quiet feeling in your body. A tightening. A sense of relief. A burst of energy. A thought that keeps returning, even when you try to talk yourself out of it.

Your inner wisdom is always speaking. The work is learning how to hear it beneath the noise of comparison, fear, other people’s opinions, and your own Inner Bully.

But clarity is only the beginning. Because once you know what is true for you, the next question is: What will you do with it?

That is where expression begins.

August is OWN YOUR EXPRESSION.

Most of us spend so much time editing ourselves that we forget what it feels like to express what is true.

Here is what I have noticed: When something is right for you, it gives you energy. It does not always feel easy, but it feels alive. Expression is not about performing or impressing anyone. It is about letting what is true inside you become visible.

Creating is one way we discover ourselves. So is having the hard conversation. Setting the boundary. Speaking the idea out loud. Wearing the color you love. Laughing louder. Saying no. Saying yes.

You do not have to be an artist. You get to be curious. Curious about what energizes you. Curious about what wants to be expressed. Curious about the version of you that has been waiting for permission to come forward.

Own your expression. The world does not need a more edited version of you. It needs the real one.

It may look like speaking honestly in a meeting instead of offering the polished version you think everyone wants to hear. It may look like setting a boundary without writing a paragraph to defend it. It may be sharing an idea before it feels perfect, wearing the color you love, creating something simply because it gives you joy, or saying no when your body has already told you no.

Expression is what happens when your inner wisdom has a voice.

So as we move into August, I want you to notice where you may still be editing yourself. Where are you smoothing the edges? Where are you waiting for the perfect time? Where are you saying what sounds reasonable instead of what is real?

You do not need to change everything at once.

Begin with one honest sentence. One clear boundary. One creative choice. One place where you allow yourself to be seen without trying to manage how everyone responds.

Clarity helps you hear yourself. Expression helps you trust yourself enough to live what you hear.

What is one thing you are ready to express this August?

With love,

Lisa

P.S. If you are craving space to step away from the noise and reconnect with your own wisdom, I would love to welcome you to the Own Your Brilliance Retreat in the Bay Area, Northern California, this October. We will spend four days slowing down, listening inward, creating, connecting, and making room for the parts of you that may have been waiting to be heard. You do not need to arrive with answers. You only need to arrive willing to come back to yourself. Reply “I’M IN” and we can schedule time to talk.
